Cooperative Care Worker Co-op Evaluation
Waushara County Department of Human Services
August 2002-Ongoing

This project focuses on the evaluation of the development and implementation of the Cooperative Care worker's co-op, a worker-owned co-op that provides in-home and personal care for Waushara County clients. Using personal interviews, audience-specific surveys, and data analysis and evaluation, TMG is researching and analyzing the obstacles and challenges, as well as the benefits and opportunities resulting from the creation of this unique co-op. The goal is to provide valuable information for other counties interested in creating their own worker co-ops.

Supportive Home Care Worker Training Manual
Columbia County Human Services Department
September 2000 - December 2000

TMG conceived, developed, produced and field-tested a training manual for in-home direct care providers that is currently being used throughout the state. The manual is comprised of six modules that cover everything from populations served and chronic health conditions to house-cleaning and universal precautions. The manual meets or exceeds the training requirements of Appendix N in the Federal Waiver (COP-W). The manual is designed as a self-administered training and testing tool and can be used as such. It can also be used as part of a broader direct care training curriculum.

Training for the Home Care Provider Video
Lincoln County Social Services
June 2002

TMG wrote and produced a six-module educational training video for homecare providers based on TMG's Supportive Homecare Worker Training Manual. The video was specifically created for providers more comfortable with video-based learning. It includes material that meets or exceeds all Appendix N Federal Waiver (COP-W) requirements for care providers in Wisconsin. The 65-minute tape can be used in tandem with the Supportive Home Care Worker Training Manual, as a supplement to an existing training curriculum, or to focus on selected modules. These selected modules include: Procedures, Populations Served, Responding to Emergencies, Interpersonal and Communication Skills, Personal Assistance and Homemaking and Nutrition.
