TMG: Wisconsin Based - Nationally Focused
WAIVER LONG-TERM SUPPORT TRAININGS

Overview

The Management Group, Inc. (TMG) offers two trainings that are under contract with The Bureau of Long Term Support (BLTS).  These trainings are offered at no cost.  The audience for these trainings is county long-term care supervisors and care managers working with the CIP II/COP-W programs, two of the Medicaid home and community based services waiver programs in Wisconsin.  These trainings include: COP Waiver Basics and Self-Recertification Training.

COP Waiver Basics

COP Waiver Basics provides an overview of the technical elements for the Community Integration Program II (CIP II) and Community Options Program-Waiver (COP-W).  This two-day course offers step-by-step instructions, helpful tools, and background information that will help care managers and social service aides prepare service plan packets and meet the program's technical requirements.

Self-Recertification

This training assists counties to develop or enhance local processes for the annual recertification of the COP-W/CIP II Waiver program eligibility.  Training will provide details about required elements for local recertification, models for how a county might set up their quality assurance process, and checklists tailored to the county's needs.  Counties will leave this training with the necessary tools to make a smooth transition to self-recertification
